I bought Clinique Lash Power because of a couple reviews I saw online. I thought it looked promising, and when I tried it I wasn't disappointed.
Lash Power stays put on my oily face ALL DAY. And that's quite a feat because I've never found a mascara that wouldn't at least give me slight raccoon eyes.
I'm a pretty harsh judge when it comes to mascaras and I cried, tanned, slept in, and furiously rubbed my eyes with this mascara on. I think I saw one flake come off. Seriously.
Lash Power doesn't give you dramatic, voluminous lashes, but it gives you lashes that are sophisticated, fluttery, and worry free. Aside from the staying power, another plus is that the tiny brush hits every little lash.
For now, this is definitely my HG mascara!
Pros:Doesn't smudge, Lasts all day, Easy to remove with warm water, Tiny brush makes sure every lash gets coated Cons:None
I like this one too. I got it for free in a kit with a Clinique fragrance purchase and used it out of curiosity. Wow. It was so gentle on my extremely sensitive eyes. I love it and although the price is a bit high, I still will buy it.
Pros:Non-irritating, easy to use wand, long-lasting, non-smearing for even oily skin, non-clumping. Cons:Cost
This is my HG mascara. It makes my lashes look way longer and seperates them and volumizes them a little. The black is dark enough for me. It doesn't flake or clump no matter how many coats I use.
Pros:Doesn't clump or flake, makes my lashes look longer, packaging Cons:Price
Geez, you think since it got the Allure award it'd be pretty great right? NOT! This has to be one of the worst mascaras I have ever had. It made my lashes look so spidery and fake, did not seperate whatsoever, and overall it jsut looked HORRIBLE. I returned it the same day I bought it. The only way I would ever recommend it is if I happen to hate the person.
Pros:Brush is pretty cool Cons:everything it has to offer
i wanted a back mascara, with a lengthening effect. i was totally satisfied by this one. though i love colorful makeup, i love the packaging, simple and silvery. so different compared to the green and pink from Maybelline !
it does lengthen your lashes, and it makes them thin (not too much IMO) and long. it has an incredible lasting power, you don't have racoon eyes by the end of the day.
and it's safe with my contacts ! my eyes are very sensitive, and it got worse since i got contacts. this mascara is ophtalmologist and allergy tested, if you have sensitive eyes, this might be your HG.
High Impact sits in my makeup bag just incase I run out of my other mascara unexpectedly. It was not difficult to apply, in fact I liked the texture, but it didn't lengthen my lashes and made my lashes clump more. My lashes turned into short, squat things surrounding my eyes, not long, sexy extensions. This mascara didn't run too badly, but I would occasionally see a black line under my lid. Again, I will use it if I run out of my fave.
Pros:Good color, little smudge Cons:Clumps, did not lenghten much
Although I think this is the best Clinique Mascara to date, I am not that impressed with the double sided wand. When I applied the mascara with the brush side and then tried to define all I got was clumps. It takes a while before you get the hang of this one. The coverage was great and it stayed on without any flaking or running. If they can fix the applicator I will run to the store for more.
Pros:Nice coverage once you get the hang of it Cons:Too time consuming
Product comes with a two sided wand-one side fluffy brush- one side small comb. I first tried this during a mini makeover. I was impressed. It is not clumpy on the lashes, also does not make lashes feel "crispy". Gives good length and plenty of volume. Worth the $13.50 for sure. Was told my MA to swirl not pump the mascara- and it makes a difference, too.
Would recommend to anyone.
Pros:not clumpy, good length and volume Cons:none that I could tell, yet.
I was a bit skeptical to get and try Clinque's Mascara, since, I'm in love with all of Lancôme's mascara's. I didn't think it would do just as a good job as Lancôme, but to my surprise, it did. This mascara is not as expensive as Lancôme, and it did just as a good job, greatly impressed with the differene it made on my lashes, and the brush is great. I'm going to save the brush after I finished this tube, cause it would make a great eyebrow brush. It spereates and enlongates, but not as much as volume as I expected. The downside of this mascara is that my lashes doesn't stay up (bend upwards) as long as my Lancôme, it is usually pretty straight at the end of the day. In all in all , a great mascara for a great price. This is a mascara every mascara vrigin needs to begin with...
Pros:Great price, and effect. Cons:straight lashes at the end of the day even when a curler is used.
I didn't like this mascara at all. Seems like a cheap mascara, stains the lashes but doesn't really add any volume or length. The color also smeared under my eyes and the brush is too big. You'd be better off buying Loreal Voluminous - good product, and cheap.
Let me start by saying this was my favorite mascara until I found Prescriptives Beyond Long. The brush is very nice and not skimpy. I did notice I had to becareful to not apply too much at one time and layer it, so it wouldn't get too cakey or clumpy looking. It also claims to prevent clumping, let your mascara dry between coats (although I find my lashes harder to work with once the coats completely dry....might be just me). It was gentle for my sensitive eyes. The wand/brush is thick bristles full of volume and allows to reach and apply to all lashes
My skin: NW25/sensitive/hyper-oily/acne prone w/ pink undertones
Pros:great thick brush, doesn't clumb if layered correctly Cons:none
A friend gave me this mascara as a gift. It is a very nice rich, volumnizing mascara. I really like the dense wand, it coats the lashes well for a nice thick, black look. I do have to be careful to wipe the excess off of the wand before application. The formula is so thick that it globs up easily. This is what makes the lashes so volumnized though, I think, so it's a trade off.
It is a bit pricey for me, when I find that I get the same basic results with L'Oreal Lash Architect.
Pros:Rich formula, gives thick, volumnized lashes. Cons:Pricier than drug store brands that give the same effect.
I got a large sample of this in a GWP of my mom's that she gave me. I like it! The brush is nice, and it doesn't cause clumps. It doesn't thicken my lashes, but it lengthens them nicely. I love to pair this with more volumizing mascaras. I wouldn't repurchase because it wasn't spectuacular, and I can't justify paying a department store price for m/u, but I'm happy with it anyhow.
Clinique’s Long Pretty Lashes Mascara in Black/Brown is the perfect mascara color I have ever encountered. It is not harsh like some black mascara’s tend to be in the least bit, but it is not too light and is not obviously brown rather than black. It is a soft version of black mascara and would work wonderfully with light skin tones.
Since my mascara tends to run unexpectedly and I end up with horrific raccoon eyes, I am wary to try any mascara that isn’t waterproof—which is why I am so thankful I gave this mascara a try. It has all the benefits of waterproof mascara without the downsides. It has long lasting power, does not flake or fall off the lashes, yet is soft, easy to wash off with simple soap and water, and free of clumps.
The Clinique website claims this mascara is meant for lengthening, as does the actual name of the product, and it definitely does lengthen. My only complaint with this is that this mascara does not thicken your lashes much, which makes them seem quite thin with all the lengthening it does. Two coats seem to improve this problem, but not by much.
Despite that, it is still my favourite mascara. Perfect color,, packaging (I love slim, minimalist packaging for makeup—no bright pink and green Maybelline mascara for me, thanks), the price is great considering quality, and it gives your lashes such a soft and feminine look. If you’re looking for lashes that really shout “Look at me!” you’re better off using false lashes, because this mascara is really more about a natural look.
Pros:Beautiful, natural color in a mascara that lengthens significantly and does not easily rub off or smudge. Cons:Does not ticken lashes much.
I love High Impact! It's the only mascara I've ever used that actually does anything to my lashes. I only pay $14.50 for it here in WV, so I don't think it's too pricey.
I received a sample of this and thought it was really good, it gave nice thick, long, defined black lashes. However I do think that you will more than likely find cheaper products out there that do the same thing if not better. I liked the results but I think that it isn't worth the price, I don't plan to purchase it but will glady use anymore free samples I receive in the future.
I
got a sample of this at a Clinique Counter, I can't say that I like
this mascara B=but I don't hate it either! It has a great black color
,it doesn't give volume to my lashes but it gives them more lenght,
also the brush is too large for my small lashes!
